CZero DAO

CZero DAO is a membership DAO composed of general voters holding NFTs and an “Impact DAO” gathered to donate capital, technology, and labor to projects in line with carbon-neutral initiatives.

CZero DAO is an NFT-based organization run by the community where people who sympathize with the climate crisis come together to raise issues, and current carbon-neutral initiatives, and jointly act to solve problems.

CZero DAO protects members and third parties related to DAO by legally requiring rules while maintaining the purpose of DAO and separates the rights and obligations of DAO itself and members so that its members do not take responsibility for the debts of DAO.

1. Components of CZero DAO

Acquisition

• The acquisition is a vital activity for DAO to become a thriving community starting from an original idea. CZero DAO’s acquisition activities are conducted online, and when a new carbon-neutral initiative project is established through the process of proposal-vote-decision at DAO, acquisition activities become more active.

Financing

• Financing means procuring and securing the funds necessary to operate the DAO. Since DAO means the capital (treasury) itself operated by the community, it can be said that reaching funds is the most key component of DAO. Of course, DAO’s treasury must be very stable and robust.
• CZero DAO creates community treasury through carbon-neutral NFT minting, a secure and scalable method.
• DAO participants can obtain membership by participating in NFT minting and obtain the rights and benefits to participate in DAO activities afterward.

Collaboration

• The pillar of collaboration in CZero DAO means collaboration with contractors, and the companies that carry out the project. Even within CZero DAO, there are already many experts and companies related to carbon neutrality, but more participants in the carbon neutral initiative project are needed to create various carbon neutral projects and successfully carry them out. CZero DAO creates these through internal and external collaboration.

Governance

• Governance refers to the process required for pitching, finalizing, and voting on proposals within the DAO. There is no right answer when it comes to governance approaches, but many early DAO proposals start with simple DOCS being shared online. As community ratings and opinions of proposals begin to form, relevant links will spread online. Eventually, when it comes time to vote on the implementation of the proposal, the DAO will vote on a Dapp called CZero.finance. If members have NFTs in their wallets that act as DAO membership cards, they can participate in proposal voting without paying gas fees.

2. Key Indicators of CZero DAO: DAO METRICS

• CZero DAO provides two types of METRICS data. First, data related to the growth and scale of DAO. These include the number of NFTs issued, the size of the Treasury (TB), and the number of DAO participants. The second is data about the results of projects carried out in relation to carbon neutrality, an initiative of CZero DAO. These include the size, capacity, power generation, and reduction of carbon emissions of new and renewable energy power plants.
• CZero DAO carbon-neutral METRICS is more important than anything else because only the actual reduction effect can evoke the motivation and sense of achievement of DAO members.

3. Classification of CZero DAO

• CZero DAO is based on the Impact DAO model. Similar to an investment DAO, it seeks to bring in capital and distribute it to various initiatives, but the allocation is made without expecting a financial return. Even if financial profits are partially generated due to the activities of CZero DAO members, distribution is not made to simple participants.
• Anyone who sympathizes with CZero DAO’s carbon-neutral initiative and wants to participate in its development can participate by purchasing NFTs. Participants can freely propose improvements and vote in the decision-making process in the CZero governance system.

4. DAO member’s role

• DAO members should do their best to establish and implement initiatives for carbon neutrality, not just NFT buyers.
• For example, in the case of a new and renewable energy power plant construction initiative, various tasks such as securing a power plant site (site, rooftop, parking lot), licensing, construction, completion, and maintenance management are required for power plant construction. , Line capacity, permits, etc. In fact, securing a site is the next most important issue after financial issues. For this issue, all DAO members must work together to investigate and secure the site at home and abroad.
